VMware Virtualization

VMware is different from other virtualization methods in providing its own operating system. As a result, VMware has limited hardware support.

Accordingly, we provide a line of systems specifically compatible with VMware. These Opteron based systems feature from 4 to 12 cores.

Similarly, VMware does not work well with local storage, and requires the presence of a hardware based disk controller or a storage appliance. We provide the specialized controllers needed to drive hard disks, and also provide a virtual storage appliance to optimize Flash compatibility with VMware.
